Pasadena Safe Routes to School

The City of Pasadena Safe Routes to School project involved preparing the safe route to school maps for 17 elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the City. LLG led the project efforts by conducting a field survey around each school to gather valuable information such as existing traffic control devices, crosswalk location and type, pedestrian ramps, school crossings, missing sidewalks, and other pertinent roadway features. The team analyzed and assessed the information to determine safe routes within the school’s service area. The routes were determined based on sidewalks, marked crosswalks, ADA compliant pedestrian ramps, crossing guard locations, and several others.
