Palomar Gateway District Specific Plan

LLG was retained by the City of Chula Vista to prepare a Mobility Study for the Palomar Gateway District (PGD) Specific Plan. The PGD is one of five planning districts contained within the Southwest Area Plan in the City of Chula Vista’s General Plan, and is designated as a Transit Oriented Development (TOD).

The Mobility Study reviewed the current and future transportation system in the context of the General Plan land use designations and provided recommendations to promote mobility within the district for all travel modes and abilities.

An opportunity/constraints matrix was prepared assessing pedestrians, bicycles, transit, light rail and vehicular traffic. Opportunities were termed high priority, medium priority and/or low priority, to assist the City with prioritizing potential improvements.
