– Honoring David Shender’s Retirement

After a remarkable 40 years with LLG, we celebrate the retirement of David Shender. After earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Drexel University in Philadelphia, David joined us in June 1985 at the ripe old age of 22. Over the course of his career, David became one of the most respected names in the transportation planning and engineering field in Southern California and beyond. Some of his notable projects include Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the Getty Center and Villa, SoFi Stadium, and the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and Detroit.

Beyond his day-to-day work, David served on LLG’s Management Committee upon his promotion to Principal in 1996. As a member of the Management Committee, he served as Secretary and Chief Financial Officer before becoming President in 2019, a position which he held for five years. David has always led with integrity, vision, and heart, all of which were tested as he navigated LLG through the Covid-19 pandemic. Thanks to his strong leadership, he was able to ensure that LLG remained successful and profitable during a period of such uncertainty.

David has given so much to LLG, and his imprint on the company will be everlasting. We wish David all the best in his retirement! As David embarks on this next chapter, he and his wife, Cindy, will continue their world travels (without the interruption of emails and phone calls) and spend quality time with family and friends.
