CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY

Prepared traffic and parking studies in conjunction with the University Specific Plan and a variety of development projects, including new residence halls and the Miller Parking Structure, Partridge Dance Center, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Leatherby Library/Oliphant Hall, Sycamore parking lot for faculty and staff, Lastinger Athletic Complex, and Lastinger Parking Structure. The studies included extensive parking and traffic surveys on campus and on the surrounding street system, and derivation of specific parking ratios for use in guiding future University growth.

Prepared a Parking Management Plan (PMP) and Implementation Manual for Chapman University to address various parking-related issues (i.e., supply, demand, enforcement, education, City's Neighborhood Permit Parking Program, on-street parking on residential streets). Workshops and stakeholder meetings were conducted with the University, City, and local residents. An annual "Report Card" is prepared to refine PMP measures, and includes extensive parking data collection while classes are in session and not in session.

CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL

LLG conducted a number of studies related to forecasting the future operational needs of the Broadway and B Street Cruise Ship Terminals. Various modes of travel such as passenger cars, taxis, shuttles, trucks, vans, buses, and pedestrians were considered. The project was challenging due to the variable nature of the terminal, with some periods of little or no activity and other periods having to accommodate as many as three ported ships.

NORTH EMBARCADERO VISIONARY PLAN TRAFFIC STUDY

LLG prepared a comprehensive traffic study for the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan. The redevelopment project is located on a 295-acre waterfront site in downtown San Diego and the analysis included four Subsequent projects as well as future regional growth throughout the area. The Subsequent Projects included the County Administration Center, the B Street Cruise Ship Terminal, Lane Field and the Midway Aircraft Carrier.
